Ice conditions improved greatly with the colder temps that we had to endure but now we can get out and search for fish. Slush pockets are pretty much gone, just avoid the snow drifts and you should be able to get around if you have 4-wheel drive and decent tires.
Walleye action has slowed some, you can still find them around weedlines but many have pushed out to the second break and mid-lake structure.
Panfish are scattered, on some lakes, you can find crappies and some sunfish suspended in the basins and others are still hanging out in the weeds.
We have been catching quite a few nice largemouth bass and some pike mixed in with crappies and sunfish in 6 to 12 feet of water around the weeds. Small VMC Bull Spoons have been catching most of our fish, but you can also set up some tip-ups with sucker minnows if you're looking for some pike or bass.
Get out there and give it a shot. If you would like more information or to book a trip contact us at:
