Fishing has been really good lately. The cold front that set in has slowed the bite some, but we have still been able to put quite a few fish in the boat.
The bluegill bite has been great. They can be found hanging out in the weedbeds and then also schooled up outside the weed edges and even in the basins. There are some bugs out in the basin and the fish have been eating well.
The walleye bite slowed a bit and the fish have spread out. Trolling spinner rigs with crawlers will help put more fish in the boat and you'll also pick up some bonus bluegills.
Largemouth bass are all over. We have caught some in the edges of bullrushes and lillypads and they are also out cruising around throughout the weedbeds.
We have been getting some really nice smallmouth bass They tend to be hanging around rocky bottom areas but have also spread into the nearby weedbeds.
